Art Depreciation.com presents...

Home Alone

Happy Halloween! We bring you a very special episode of ArtDepreciation
on this most hallowed of eves featuring "The Scream."

This is one of the first strips we did, but I think it still holds up.
One of the things I love about doing this is going inside the painting and
seeing what the subjects are thinking. At least, what I want them to be thinking...

-Matt

Welcome one and all, I trust you all have your haunts scouted out for candy collection night tonight (Halloween, another taxation on the wealthy). Personally I'm going a bit edgier this year, and I'm taking my gun to all my local banks to demand my treats.

As for this sketch, I like it because it defends and attacks what we are doing with these paintings, at the same time. There is a dilemma, are we dishonoring the great work of artists gone by? Should we stop, and instead, pay homage to their works?

And then I look at some of the comics we've got coming up, almost bust a nut laughing while trying to keep control of my bladder, and decide, screw those guys, they're 10 foot under and smell worse than a turd in a hog fat factory.

-Mike

I hate that damn kid too, Screamy.

You know, he didn't even use a razor, just slapped on the aftershave and made the face?

Hey kid, you know what hurts? This. And that guy's not even screaming about it.
